Another High-End Vehicle Company Issues Recall on Thousands of Automobiles

Luxury brand vehicles seem to be catching the attention of many news broadcast sites and not for good reason. Most of the time when you hear BMW or Maserati, you think of high-class and perfection, but it seems there has been ongoing issues for both companies lately. BMW just issued a recall for thousands of their automobiles that may contain faulty airbags, and now Maserati is facing a recall of their own. According to Property Casualty 360, Maserati North America Inc. is recalling at least 39, 381 Quattroporte, Ghibli, and Levante vehicles. Apparently, these models could potentially have two defects that could lead to fires and other roadway hazards.

Why Has Maserati Issued a Recall?

According to documents that were filed with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, when a driver or passenger adjusts the front seats, it could possibly lead to an electrical shortage and even a fire. And if that were to occur while a driver was on the highway or some other roadway that prevented them from stopping immediately, they could be facing a major car accident. This particular recall is for the mentioned models manufactured between 2014 and 2017. The company has also announced another recall for Quattroporte and Ghibli vehicles made between 2014 and 2015 because those vehicles could potentially have fuel-line leaks.

The vehicles in question have suggested retail prices that range from $71,600 to $145,500. You can be certain that the owners of these vehicles will be looking into having their cars inspected immediately to ensure they aren’t at risk of having theirs catch fire.
