It was an overnight accident that occurred in Charlotte, NC that left five individuals injured, two of those in critical condition. The driver said he put his hazard lights on along with the flashlight from his cell phone and started waving it on the road so that cars couldn’t get through. When paramedics arrived, they treated five people on the lawn of a local church and then all were transported to a nearby hospital. Investigators were not able to determine who was at fault for causing the crash but did visit the victims at the hospital to possibly gain a better understanding as to why this auto accident occurred. Duke Energy crews were also dispatched to the scene where they worked to repair the damaged pole and police were able to clear the scene by 4:00 a.m.
