The co-owner of the salon was pushed between a wall and a sink due to the impact and needed to be taken to the hospital. The driver also sustained injuries that required hospitalization. Many other witnesses were surprised at the extent of the damage and said the area looked like a war zone. They also believe that a tree in the parking lot which stopped the driver from backing out and moving the vehicle further probably prevented additional damage.
The police and fire department are still investigating to determine an exact cause of the accident. The entire building had to remain closed due to electrical wiring issues that became a fire hazard throughout the area.
