Distracted driving, DUI, and engaging in other activities while operating your vehicle are all contributing factors that cause major and even minor car accidents occur. But, a recent news report provided by wlns.com revealed how one driver totaled his vehicle all because of the reckless actions he engaged in. It was a police chase that occurred through three counties, and a man in custody for causing of all this disturbance.

A Michigan man is now in jail for possibly committing a crime, fleeing from police, and engaging in a car accident.

Car accident attorneys in Lansing point out that a man who is now being held in Clinton County jail was driving a maroon Chevy Trailblazer on August 5th along Interstate 96. Police began pursuing the vehicle when they were made aware that a crime was in progress at “US127 Motorsports in Greenbush Township.” The deputies assigned to the call arrived at the location only to find the suspect being accused of committing the crime fleeing. At some points in his travels, he was speeding at nearly 100 miles per hour.

The driver of the vehicle only suffered minor injuries and is expected to be seen in court today.

Lansing, Michigan car crash attorneys note that the chase began in Clinton County, proceeded on through Ingham County, and then ended in Livingston County. The suspected criminal who led this erratic chase was able to avoid stop-sticks twice, however, he then lost control of his vehicle “between Howell and Brighton and rolled over in the median.” Michigan State Police along with deputies from all three counties where the car chase ran through were all involved in this incident. The driver only suffered minor injuries and is expected to be “formally charged” today.
